30 March 2017
As previously notified, school finishes this Friday 31 March 2017, for the Easter holidays. It has, as usual, been a very busy term and I think we all deserve a break in what I hope will be even better weather.
The children return to school on Wednesday 19 April 2017.
We now have more children in school with allergies so may I remind everyone not
to send children to school with nuts of any kind, including peanut butter,
in their packed lunches please, as nut allergies in particular can be very serious.
I should also like to remind you all of the importance of notifying us of any changes
of address and/or contact telephone numbers (especially mobiles). We have had several occasions recently when children have been taken ill at school and we have not been able to contact parents/carers, who, for obvious reasons, should always
be contactable in an emergency.
There has unfortunately been a great deal of illness during the term, and many children have had the usual winter ailments. May I remind you all that children need to stay away from school for a clear 48 hours after the last bout of sickness/ diarrhoea, so that the virus is not passed on to other people in school.
May I take this opportunity to thank you all once again for your continued support
and to wish you a peaceful and happy Easter break on behalf of the staff and governors of Crawley Green.
