Mrs Turner's retirement letter

8th December 2017

Dear Parents and Carers,

It with some sadness that I have come to the decision to retire at Easter.

Crawley Green has been a huge part of my life for over 30 years. Four years into my teaching career, I arrived at Crawley Green. I taught in year 1 and year 2 and in 1990, I set up and led our brand new Reception unit and continued to teach in Reception until I became Acting Head and then Headteacher in January 2014.

Over the years, I have taught hundreds of children and some are now returning as parents. It is lovely that you want your children to have the same positive experiences that you enjoyed here.

Crawley Green is the most wonderful place to teach. The whole staff are so committed to doing the very best for the children and always put in 100%. They are an amazing team and it has been a privilege to work with them.

I have been very fortunate to have a Governing body who has always been very supportive to me and the school.

The heart of Crawley Green is of course the children. Their boundless energy and enthusiasm makes this job so rewarding.

I would like to say a really big thank you, for all the support you as parents have given to the school during my time as Headteacher.

Crawley Green has always been a very special place and I am sure it will continue to flourish and grow.

I wish everyone well for the future.

Yours sincerely

Mrs G Turner

Headteacher
