This week’s news.

  • Our year 2 children had a really enjoyable day practising their circus skills with Doody.
  • Year 1 had a Chinese food tasting afternoon. They learnt about some of the less familiar ingredients that are used in Chinese dishes and enjoyed tasting the food. This fed nicely into the work that has been done on Chinese New Year. Thank you to the parents who came into school to help run this event.
  • Our Values assembly on Tuesday introduced this half terms value of Co-ordination.
  • The Eco team met on Wednesday.
  • I was very pleased to see the parents who came to find out more about our governing body on Friday’s coffee morning. I hope that they and many more of you will apply to be a parent governor. If you couldn’t get to the meeting and want to find out more, please come and ask!

Next Week - beginning Monday 5th March

  • Miss Hall is running a sport assembly on Monday.
  • The Eco team is presenting the minutes of their meeting to the school in an ECO assembly on Tuesday.
  • Orange Class will perform their class assembly to the school on Wednesday and to their parents on Friday.
  • We are celebrating World Book Day on Friday. All staff and children are invited to dress up as a book character and will be enjoying many book linked activities. We ask for a £1 donation for a children cancer charity.

Please continue to support your child to complete their homework and to read their book each week.

We have vacancies on our Governing Body for parent governors. Please apply!

Free School Meals………..If you are on any benefits or allowances, you may be entitled to FSM which is a £1300 grant that the school can use for the benefit of your child. Ask if you think you may be entitled.
