This week’s news.

  • Unfortunately the snow and rain deterred people from joining Mrs Collis on Saturday morning for Green finger’s gardening club. Mrs Collis is hoping to run another one soon.
  • The highlight of our week was appointing a new headteacher to take over the reins after Easter. It is an exciting new journey for everyone at Crawley Green. The children in the Eco team played a significant part in the interview process by running a question session with each interviewee. The questions they asked were extremely sensible and mature ones. The children proved to be very perceptive and we were incredibly proud of them.
  • Year R parents attended their first week of the Early Years Family Learning programme. The children love to have some special time to work at school with a parent.
  • On Thursday Year one walked to St Anne’s Church. They found the trip very interesting.
  • Our ‘Parents Super Tips’ course in the family room was very well attended this week.

Next Week - beginning Saturday 29th January

  • This week is RE week at school. The children will be continuing to learn about and compare different beliefs and customs. There will be lots of interesting and fun activities throughout the week such as a Year 2 Faith Tour, Bollywood dancing, a round the world Tour with each class representing a country.
  • On Wednesday Our Early Year’s Family Learning programme continues, as does the Super Tips course on Thursday.

Year 2 must be at school by 8.30 am on Tuesday 30th January for the Faith Tour.

Please continue to support your child to complete their homework and to read their book each week.
